Americans have been making this cake every year for the 4th of July for a long time. Makes a quick and tasty dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 (15.25-ounce) package white cake mix
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Layer cherry pie filling, blueberries, cake mix, melted butter, and nuts in a 9x12-inch pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
Extra Tips
You can use a small can of blueberries in place of fresh, if preferred.
Add a twist with spices: Sprinkle a little cinnamon or nutmeg over the fruit layer for extra warmth and flavor.
Try different nuts: Swap pecans or walnuts for almonds or hazelnuts to change up the texture.
Make it extra golden: Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end if you want the top extra crispy and golden (watch carefully!).
Serve it warm: This dessert tastes amazing served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Add citrus zest: Mix in some lemon or orange zest with the fruit layer for a bright, fresh kick.
Make individual servings: Divide the ingredients into ramekins for cute, personal-sized desserts.
Lighten it up: Use light pie filling or reduced-fat cake mix and butter alternatives if you want to cut back a bit.
Add a crunch: Sprinkle a handful of granola on top before baking for an extra crunchy finish.
Use different fruits: Try swapping cherries and blueberries with peaches, raspberries, or a mixed berry blend.
