HEALTHY SCHOOLS PROGRAM
Here at Ferreira Foodtown, we believe it is important not to only provide quality foods and service to our community, but to give back as well. Through our Healthy Schools Program, we provide:

FREE, live classroom demonstrations and education – can choose among healthy recipes, trying new foods, allergies, etc. with our registered dietitian.

Students receive goodie bags filled with fresh and healthy items to take home along with coupons, recipes and activities.

We provide giveaways and usually a class gift to help them encourage healthy eating (such as a herb garden).
This is a complimentary program we provide to local schools.

LOCAL EVENTS
We host a lot of our own events throughout the year at our own stores including Customer Appreciation Days and our Fall Festivals at each location. A lot of these events include participation from our vendors, complimentary items and food, plus hands-on activities for the kids such as petting zoos, face painting, pumpkin decorating and more.
We love to invite our local schools and students to come, and if we know in advance, can also plan for custom activities to be held for them. We host bakery tours and scavenger hunts throughout the year.
We also can come into your school/venue to tag into events such as fundraisers, parent/PTA nights, parades, jazz festivals, basketball games and more!
LOCAL SCHOOL
LABELS PROGRAM
Ferreira Foodtown offers its own labels program for local schools! You can earn money and prizes for your students and classrooms by collecting Ferreira Food brand product UPC labels – up to $2,000 each school year!
Details on the Labels Program:

Parents cut out and collect UPC labels of purchased Ferreira Foodtown brands and place on provided paper send to schools that will host 25 labels per page.

Expiration dates will not be counted – instead will just have two set TURN IN dates: Have to return labels before Holiday Break (December 31) and Summer Break (June 1).

Each top is worth 10 cents. Parents are allowed to collect over holiday and summer break and submit for the following collection.

Marketing and signage for schools can be requested free of charge upon request.

For eligible schools: check will be sent for the amount raised for over $20 to the school up to $1,000 per label collection semester or $2,000 total per year. Earnings are sent out to the schools twice a year, in January and June. The January check includes all label earnings accrued until December 31 totaling $20 or more. (If the total is less than $20, this amount will be rolled over and paid in the May - check). The May check includes labels earnings accrued from January – May 31.

Winning classroom receives a special Ferreira Foodtown hosted classroom party, and the teacher also receives a special gift
ESCRIP PROGRAM
Make sure your school or venue is on our giving back list! We donate up to 3% for each checkout when that customer has your school or charity connected on their Foodtown club card.
How to sign up for the program:
1. Pick up a Foodtown Club Card.
2. Register your card with eScrip in-store or online.
3. Shop like usual! When you use your card, 3% of your total will be given to the school or charity of your choice!
