Keep frozen strawberries and limeade concentrate on hand for a blended cocktail that comes together quickly. Tequila and orange liqueur balance the fruit, while crushed ice gives the drink its frozen texture.

Makes 4 drinks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice cubes, plus more if needed

  • 6 fluid ounces tequila

  • 2 fluid ounces triple sec

  • 8 ounces frozen sliced strawberries in syrup

  • 4 fluid ounces frozen limeade concentrate

Directions

  1. Put the ice into a blender suitable for crushing ice. Use short pulses to break the cubes into smaller pieces.

  2. Add the tequila, triple sec, strawberries with their syrup, and limeade concentrate.

  3. Blend until the fruit and ice form an even, slushy mixture, approximately 30 seconds. If needed, add a little more ice and blend again to thicken.

  4. Divide between four glasses and serve immediately.
